Grant Opportunities to Grow Your Fashion Brand

You’ve probably had people say to you, “There are grants out there to grow your business.” But isn’t it annoying when they simply stop there—and don’t tell you WHERE or HOW to get your hands on those grants?

To help you in your money finding mission, here are some grants that you could explore:

United States Grant Opportunities:

Small Business Sweepstake

• This month, they will be giving one lucky small business in the US $5,000.
• Entry Deadline – May 31st  

National Black Business Pitch

• Cash prizes of up to $10,000.
• Open to black-owned, founded, or controlled businesses throughout the US.
• Application and Pitch Video Deadline – June 1st

Fearless Strivers Grant

• $20,000 in grants to go towards business growth, digital tools to help them grow their business online, and mentorship.
• For black women-owned businesses in the US.
• Entry Period Dates (there will be one winner selected per entry period)
• 6/1/23 – 6/30/23
• 8/1/23 – 8/31/23

Corporate Council of Women of Color Grant

• Five (5) $5,000.00 grants awarded
• Women of color entrepreneurs operating business in the US
• Submissions reviewed on a rolling basis, next award – September 2023.

Warriors Rising Grant

• Eligible US veterans get assistance with starting their own business—whether it is only a concept or if they have actual operations.
• Applications ongoing

Wish Local Empowerment Program

• Apply to receive between $500 – $2000 to help rebuild your small business.
• You have a Black-owned business
• You are 18+ years of age
• Your store has 20 or fewer employees
• Your store is a brick-and-mortar shop within the United States

Giving Joy

• One-time micro grants (maximum $500 USD)
• Use the grant to start a new business, or expand your existing business.
• Women ages 18 and up 
• Apply for a grant from any country or state or territory in the world. 

The Startup Collective by Aveeno

• Black female-identifying entrepreneur with a product, brand or technology that addresses the skin or hair care needs of Black consumers
• You could win $100,000 for your beauty business
• Contest ends 11:59 PM EDT on August 13th, 2023.

TRANSFORM Business Grant

• Provides a $1,000 microgrant and a customized, year-long business strategy and development program
• BIPOC individuals, individuals who have a disability, formerly incarcerated individuals, and queer, trans, and nonbinary folks
• Only open to applicants in the United States

Women of Color Grant Program

• Grantees will receive grants of $10,000 or $20,000 towards business growth
• Business must be at least 51% woman of color-owned
• Formed under United States law and operating in the United States

Canada Grant Opportunities:

Canada Digital Adoption Program

• $2,400 or $15,000 for small or medium-sized Canadian companies to grow their businesses online. 
• You can even use it for SEO!

Telus #StandWithOwners 

• Apply for your chance to win $125,000 in funding, advertising and technology to fuel your business growth
• #StandWithOwners application period closes September 6, 2023 at 11:59pm ET
